Saleen Debuts the 2024 800hp 302 Black Label Mustang at MCA 60th Anniversary
Saleen Debuts the 2024 800hp 302 Black Label Mustang at MCA 60th Anniversary
Celebrating 40 Years of Saleen and 60 Years of Mustang
Saleen Automotive, the Southern California vehicle manufacturer founded by legendary racing driver and manufacturer, Steve Saleen, unveiled its 2024 302 Black Label at the MCA 60th Mustang Anniversary at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, April 6
The 302 Black Label is the top of the line model in the 302 family, and with 800 supercharged ponies it has the power to back up its aggressive look.
The Black Label features an all new Saleen developed air management system. Starting with the sculpted hood, a center vent extracts high pressure air and engine heat, while recessed side vents release high pressure from the wheel area. The new hood integrates seamlessly into the front fascia that provides additional down force, and has fully functional brake cooling ducts.
All new side skirts, a rear fascia with integrated diffuser, and a Saleen rear wing that provides additional downforce and balance, round out this new aerodynamic package.
Paying homage to some of the classic Saleens, the Black Label also features a center exhaust exit. This particular Black Label is finished in Speedlab Beryllium, one of 14 proprietary Saleen Speedlab colors available.
As with all 2024 Saleen 302 models, an instrument surround frames the new LED screens, creating a more integrated and flowing look. A passenger grab handle further compliments the overall aesthetic and functionality. All Black Labels feature custom Saleen Sport Seating with Alcantara and color matched stitching.
“I’m proud to say that our new 800 horsepower Black Label is our most comprehensive 302 model to date. We’ve spent a lot of time not only developing the look, but making it functional as well,” said Steve Saleen. “In addition to what you see here, we will also be offering some exciting options such as a multi-chambered titanium exhaust that produces an F1 inspired sound, and a sequential transmission in the near future.”
All 302 Black Labels come with a Gen 5 Racecraft® suspension, Saleen brakes, and Saleen wheels and tires. Starting MSRP is $108,990.

Saleen Debuts its 2024 745hp 302 Yellow Label Mustang at NADA
Saleen Automotive, the Southern California vehicle manufacturer founded by legendary racing driver and manufacturer, Steve Saleen, unveiled its 2024 302 Yellow Label at this year’s 2024 NADA show in Las Vegas. The vehicle was shown at the EZ360 Exhibitor Booth, #5313 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, February 2–4.
The 302 Yellow Label is part the Saleen 302 line. While aesthetically similar to the White Label, under the hood is big change. The entry level White Label is no slouch with 510hp, but the Yellow Label increases this almost 50% to a tire shredding 745hp via a supercharger.
The Yellow Label features improved vehicle air management with an entirely new front fascia that incorporates an aerodynamic splitter integrated into the high down force air dam. A revised hood vent allows additional escape of hot engine air from the 745hp powerplant, and a Saleen wing in the back provides needed downforce and balance.
As with all 2024 Saleen 302 models, an instrument surround frames the new LED screens, creating a more integrated and flowing look. A passenger grab handle further compliments the overall aesthetic and functionality.
“This 302 Yellow Label puts the Power in the Hands of a Few at a very reasonable entry price,” said Steve Saleen. “Where else can you get a very useable, 745 horsepower vehicle with great handling and appearance for about $80,000.”
A Gen 5 Racecraft® suspension, Saleen brakes, and Saleen wheels and tires round out the 302 Yellow Label.

40 Years of Manufacturing Legendary Vehicles
Saleen Automotive, the Southern California vehicle manufacturer founded by legendary racing driver and vehicle builder, Steve Saleen, debuted its 2024 302 White Label model at the LeMay Automobile Museum in Tacoma, WA, on November 16, 2023.
Dimension wise the 2024 model is quite similar to the outgoing 2023 model, but this is where the similarity ends. Saleen improved the vehicle air flow with an entirely new front fascia that incorporates an aerodynamic splitter integrated into the high down force air damn. A revised hood vent allows additional escape of hot engine air, while a Saleen wing in the back provides needed downforce.
A newly designed axial grille, and other Saleen body accents make it truly unique, yet functional. Under the hood, Saleen has increased the naturally aspirated horsepower from 480 to 510hp, while still maintaining original fuel economy and easy drivability. Inside a Saleen instrument binnacle frames the new LED screens, creating a more integrated and flowing look. A functional passenger grab handle further compliments the overall aesthetic.
“This 302 White Label (2024) is the most comprehensive design ever for our 302 White Label. There is a lot to like about the new S650 platform,” said Steve Saleen. “Much has been said about this model, and we addressed it. We are quite proud of the end result.”
A Gen 5 Racecraft® suspension, Saleen brakes, and new wheels and tires round out the 302 White Label, MSRP starts at $61,990.
Founded in 1983, Saleen Automotive has been designing and manufacturing high performance vehicles for 40 years. The 2024 302 White Label is Saleen’s entry level vehicle in the 302 model line, followed by the mid level 745hp Yellow Label, and the top of the line 800hp Black Label.

Partners with EZ360 Automated 4K Photo Studios and Software
Saleen Automotive, the Southern California vehicle manufacturer founded by legendary racing driver and manufacturer, Steve Saleen, will debut its Single Cab Black Label Sportruck at this year’s 2023 SEMA show in Las Vegas. The Sportruck will be shown at the EZ360 Exhibitor Booth, #11717 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Oct 31–Nov 3.

Saleen is no stranger to high performance trucks. Steve raced in the SCCA “Race Truck Challenge” and would go onto win the Driver’s Championship title and Manufacturers’ Championship title for Ford.
Saleen breathes some serious firepower into the base 5.0 liter F150 truck. Sporting a supercharged V8, the Black Label raises the base horsepower from 400 to 775hp, this is almost a 100% increase in power! The Sportruck also features Saleen aerodynamic bodywork, Racecraft® suspension, Saleen brakes, and Saleen leather interior. In addition to the performance upgrades, this Sportruck is also finished in an eye popping, custom paint scheme of green and blue, paying homage to the livery of a Saleen S1 race car.
“Making a truck go fast is relatively easy… just add horsepower,” says Saleen. “But to make it handle, brake, and drive with sportscar prowess takes a lot of development and testing. Our Black Label Sportruck not only raises the bar on appearance, but also takes performance to the next level. Like all of our products, sportscar DNA runs through the soul of the Sportruck.”
Founded in 1983, Saleen Automotive celebrates 40 years of business with its SA-40 302, and continues its performance heritage by literally putting Sport into a truck with the all-new Saleen Black Label Sportruck.
MSRP starts at at $101,990 for a 2024 supercharged Black Label Sportruck.

Steve Saleen Wins Latest Race- Driving the New S1
Steve Saleen Wins Latest Race- Driving the New S1
50 Years Ago, Saleen Entered and Won His First Race Driving a Mustang
Steve Saleen, founder of Saleen Automotive, wins at the Sovren Historics in a Saleen S1. Saleen founded the Southern California vehicle manufacturing company in 1983 and built a brand name for himself based on his transformation of the Ford Mustang. Saleen would go on to produce his own automobiles, and his mid-engine S1 is the latest in his line-up of Saleen Original vehicles.
“I was invited as the guest celebrity to the Sovern Historics at Pacific Raceways, but had no intention of actually racing,” said Saleen. “We brought an S1 racecar to the track to give ride-along charity laps, with all proceeds going toward XXX charity. After seeing the S1 on the track, the race organizers asked if I’d like to compete in their premiere Large Bore class that consists of the higher horsepower cars and I said sure.”
The competition in this class consisted of a combination of vintage race cars and the latest vehicles, including a current generation GT4 Mustang. This Mustang was built specifically for racing by Multimatic and piloted by the track hot-shoe instructor, Rob Sholl. The S1 with Steve Saleen behind the wheel beat the GT4 Mustang, and also set the fastest lap of the day.
Steve is part of exclusive league of automotive icons that actually races his own designs. Dan Gurney, Bruce McLaren, and Jim Hall all drove their own purpose-built race cars, but Saleen is the only who has done this with a race car based off his own street car design.
Powered by a 450hp turbo-charged, 2.2L, 4 cylinder, and weighing only 2700lbs, the S1 was designed as a “True Driver’s Vehicle.” It combines state of the art engineering, aerodynamics, and a mid-engine platform, all wrapped in a sexy body that will go head to head with Porsche, Ferrari, and other premium marques.
Racing the S1 supports Saleen’s mantra of “Race Proven Performance for the Street” as it enters its final phases of testing and development. To ensure the S1 passes full certification and enters production, Saleen Automotive is currently in a stock offering to the general public.

We immediately started the design process back at our Southern California headquarters.”
